Gregory has always had a love of nature and the
outdoors. Growing up in rural Ohio, Greg and his brothers would spend
their free time exploring the woods behind their 150-year-old farmhouse.
As he grew, he would relax by walking through the woods alone. Being
outdoors has always had a calming and revitalizing effect on him.
In 1989, he moved to Florida and discovered the
beauty of the coastal areas. As a diver he explored underwater landscapes
and creatures in the Gulf of Mexico, Florida Keys and the fresh water
springs. After moving to Odessa in 1998 with his fiancée he experienced
the rural lifestyle of Old Florida. He began capturing the scenic
landscape. Cypress trees, Spanish moss, wetlands and clear water springs
are so unique and are not usually experienced by visitors to the state.
“My desire is to preserve
Florida’s natural beauty in photos and in so doing awaken others to the
need to preserve this beauty before it is completely developed.”
protect the forests for our children, grandchildren and children yet to be
born. We must protect the forests for those who can't speak for themselves
such as the birds, animals, fish and trees.
